Elle Schneider is a filmmaker from New York City. She is an International Cinematographer’s Guild (Local 600) director of photography, writes about cinematography for ICG Magazine, and is a member of the International Collective of Female Cinematographers (ICFC). Work as cinematographer includes two seasons of History’s acclaimed docu-recre series THE FOOD THAT BUILT AMERICA, narrative features 18 1/2 (which premiered theatrically in 60 cities in summer 2022 and is now playing on Starz), THE LEGEND OF THE LAKE, and SIX LA LOVE STORIES, as well as numerous short films and music videos. Her work has been featured in Vanity Fair, Billboard, The Hollywood Reporter, MovieMaker, Rolling Stone, and American Cinematographer. Elle has an MFA from the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts in Film and TV production. Previous clients include Disney, Apple, and Sony Pictures Classic.
